Houston Humble Simonton Brookshire Alabama Dallas TX Bridal Engagement Roll Tide Equestrian Horse Polo Ranch Dog Family Cowboy Portrait Photographer: Culverhouse College of Commerce Polo Match

We can't think of a better way to support students than through the fun and entertainment provided by watching a polo match the day before the Texas A&M game. Alumni and friends of the College gathered at Pecan Acres Polo Club in Simonton, TX on Friday, September 13th to watch an exciting polo game as well as to bid on Alabama souvenir items. All proceeds from the live and silent auction benefitted Culverhouse students through scholarship support.

Timothy F. Kelly, 1981 Culverhouse alumnus, generously hosted this event on his polo farm to raise awareness of the College's need for scholarship support and to gather alumni in a fun environment to raise money.

“Dean Hardin and his entire team have demonstrated their ability to attract top flight students. We are pleased to be involved in the ongoing effort to develop scholarship funds on behalf of the Culverhouse College," Kelly said.

Over $39,000 was raised in less than 3 hours.

Scholarship support becomes more critical every year to recruit academically gifted students and to assist all deserving students in meeting the costs of higher education. We are deeply grateful to Mr. Kelly for hosting this event and hope that you will also support scholarships for Culverhouse students on The University of Alabama's Online Giving Site.   (cba.ua.edu<http://cba.ua.edu
