Lee Majors and Jamie Summers

When we were little we all had names. My cousin Steve was The Million Dollar Man, Jimmy was Jimmy Carter, Lee J. (my brother) was Lee Majors, and I was Jamie Summers. He's a MAJOR Texans fan. He had season tickets when they didn't even know who would be the next Houston football team! He still has those same seats every year. We're talkin' major. He's consistent (gets that from my Dad). He's quiet. He's a hard worker. When we see each other, he always puts his arm up and shows me "the hammer" (your forearm muscle) and says, "Whachu doin'?" He means the world to me. I'm proud of him.

"Hey babe, can you take a picture of me and Lee?" "Sure."

Ok. Thanks babe.

I don't know what possessed me.

Isn't She Lovely?

"Isn't she loooooovley? Isn't she won-der-ful?"

Isn't she lovely
Isn't she wonderful
Isn't she precious
Less than one minute old
I never thought through love we'd be
Making one as lovely as she
But isn't she lovely made from love
Isn't she pretty
Truly the angel's best

Boy, I'm so happyWe have been heaven blessed
I can't believe what God has done
Through us he's given life to one
But isn't she lovely made from love

Isn't she lovely
Life and love are the same
Life is Aisha
The meaning of her name
Londie, (Katelyn) it could have not been done
Without you who conceived the one
That's so very lovely made from love

Stevie Wonder couldn't have written more perfect words for them. Katelyn and Clark are expecting a precious baby girl! And yes, she is the most adorable expectant mother! She looks fabulous. Katelyn was A's teacher for two years in a row! We loved her from the very first day we met her. Her sweet voice and love for chocolate had us hooked from the start! Not to mention her incredible love and devotion to the kids she taught. (I think that's a fragment? Ugh.)

She is now going to be a much desired stay at home mommy and wife. When I shot the last photos of the day, I felt so comfortable in their home. It truly was full of love and the evidence of Christ in their lives was easy to see. Their baby girl is blessed indeed.

We started out at the crack of dawn for these beauties! We were shooting before 8:00am! Katelyn said they were morning people and boy am I glad they were! The lighting couldn't have been more perfect to display their explosive love for one another...

Love is a powerful thing.

Love must be as much a light as it is a flame. -Henry David Thoreau

My heart belongs to Katelyn.

My girl.

This was my girls' favorite!

Yah, she's lovely.

Building our nest.

And this guy just wanted to show off. I couldn't believe it. When he got right in front of us, he just strutted and fluffed and spread his wings as hiiiiigh as they would go honey! I mean he was feelin' good!

Show off.

This was on their cake from the shower that Clark's work gave to them.

We're having a baby! WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

And they didn't want to leave Jussi (pronounced: U-C) out!

My favorite.

I can't wait to see her peek over her baby bed!

Her Angel Babies

"I love you my friend." Those are the words Rebecca always says to me whether we're meeting or leaving one another. She is incredibly smart and sure of where she stands in life. We fit together as friends like peanut butter and jelly. Yep. She's the intelligent one and I'm the artistic one. I love her SO much!!! She has three BEAUTIFUL girls who are precious to me and my family. They are all so different...of course. I'm totally honored that she trusts me to capture her angel babies for her.

I just got off the phone with her and she was so upset that she couldn't view her gallery from work. Distraught. Mad. Desperate. So she called Clay (her husband) to see if he could see them. She did a fancy conference call between the three of us.

"Are you on the computer?"
"Yah."
"Well, can you go to Jamie's website?"
"www. JamieJohnsonPhotography.smugmug.com"
"Okay. Jamie-Johnson-Photography. slugbug.com"
"No. SMUG MUG."
"SLUG MUG?"
"WILD LAUGHTER ERUPTS FROM ME!"
"NO! SMUG -MUG" S as is Sam M as in Mike U as in Umbrella and G as is Green.

Finally he gets it and she says, "Honey, just add it as a favorite so we don't have to go through this again."
I'm laughing my head off now.
"Well, what do you see?"
"Uh, I see Sarah. Looks like she's in some kinda weed patch."
That did it! REALLY WILD LAUGHTER NOW!
"Yah, there's Hannah. That's a good picture."
"Oh look! There's Isabella. There's some flowers in front of her. Um, she looks blurred. Is that supposed to be like that?"

Oh goodness. Just forget it.

Love you Rebecca!

All In a Day's Work

We went to a neat event last weekend: Cy-Fest Community Festival. The Cy-Fair VFD was there to put on demonstrations and let me tell you, they were AWESOME. It was our favorite part of the day. To watch these people in action is just breathtaking.

The men did a demonstration of how they get people out of the car when there's been a serious accident. It was amazing. The tools in the above photo were used to take this door off. We're talking p-o-w-e-r here.
I know. Can you get more stealthy fireman looking than this?
I can't decide which I like better.
Intense.
This is Denise and her k-9 partner, Aid'N. This was our favoritest, favoritest part of the demonstrations. Aid'N has a long list of accomplishments that include working at 9/11 and also during the Katrina aftermath. He's on his way to find "victims" nestled in the pallets. He found them both. And when he did, he just stood there and barked until Denise came over to him.

They don't use food for rewards. It's playtime that is given to them for correctly responding to the situation. Think he likes it? Yah, me too!

Such a good listener.
Here, Aid'N is looking for people trapped inside the building. Again, he is taught to bark relentlessly until someone comes and releases him...by telling him good boy and lovin' on 'eem. His ears are the cutest! Love this.

A little affirmation for her helper. A little adoration for his owner.

He's gorgeous!

Ewwww Weeeeeeee! I love my job! Hey, It's all in a day's work. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh.

She Turned 9 In Style

All of the preparations were made over the last year. The accessories, clothes, shoes, bags, mini chandeliers, were precisely chosen for this momentous occasion: her little girl was turning 9! Shavaria knows how to put a party together honey! Just look below and see her fingerprints all over the details! Talent. Talent.

At 4:30pm, 12 little girls arrived with big smiles and excitement on hand and began to get ready. It was glitz n glam all the way! There were 6 designers who chose the girls' outfits and fixed their hair for them. After they had gotten all glammed up, I met them at a secret location (an automotive center) in Humble and had a photo session there. It was SO much fun! They all looked beautiful and had a fantastic shoot! After the shoot, we went to Cedar Landing in Huffman for a fabulous shrimp and catfish dinner! Thank you Shavaria! The little "Top Models" finished their meal and rode off in style in a barbie pink stretch limo!

The Birthday Girl's living room was transformed into a huge dressing room for her and her friends.

Two of the designers peeking from all of the girls' clothes that were awaiting their arrival.

Details. Details.

Can you tell this is the birthday girl? Naaaaaaaaah. Didn't think you could.

All the girls had envelopes that said who their designer would be and also what their theme of clothing would be.

And the envelope please.

Some shots of them getting all glammed out!

A little sun bling for ya. Love this.

And of course the birthday girl getting ready.

What a doll!

And here is the final result of those fabulous designers! You look ma-velous girlies!

Are you kidding me with the school bus? Go girls!

These two looked awesome! Their theme was: "Rock Meets Runway"

"Uptown Girl"

"International Flare"

Happy Birthday!

Uncle Mark

Mom and Daughter. Very warm.

Look out! Here we come!!!
