Humble TX Horse Photographer: Horses and Vettes

I don't know if we'll ever get one but we for sure want one/some. My girls and I are cowgirls at heart. We LOVE being around these majestic animals. I got bucked off of my friend's horse when I was 10. I was sitting there in Cheryl's friend's front yard (they lived in the country...Nacodoches) on the beauty and Cheryl said: "Now don't give 'er too much slack in the reins. She'll think she's the boss." And like the next thing I knew, I was on the ground! She bucked me over the top of her head and I landed on my rear. It happened SO FAST! It didn't hurt a bit. You know what did hurt though? When we were feeding Cheryl's horses one time and we were riding on the back of her mom's Chevette going about 10mph down the dirt road to the barn and I for some insane reason jumped off! I felt like my legs were rammed through my chest and came up through my head! I NEVER did that again! And speaking of Chevettes, my friend Barb had a maroon one and her son, Doug used to drive it to school. Sometimes we'd take it to the store and he'd say: Let's take the Vette baby! It was so funny!

The above beauty can be found at Baskin Shires.

Humble TX Children's Photographer: Jump Shoots

"Can you take some pictures of me jumping mom?" "Sure. Let me get a few of you before you start jumping." I have the feeling that there's two more "jump shoots" in the works soon!

I love my little lady.

Oh, we have such a lovely trampoline! The nets are just done in and the squirrels LOVE the stuffing around the edges!

I normally don't crop my photos from my sessions but in this one, I couldn't decide which one I like best.
Cropped.
Uncropped.
Peace out.

Humble, TX Pet Photographer: Drake

I LOVE photographing dogs! I'm a dog lover! Drake had his close-up (very close-up) today. Drake is suave. Drake is smooth. Drake is fly. He's a manly dog. And he's fast. Drake is also snooty. Yes, I said it. Snooty. He would never look me straight in the eye. Don't know why but I did try. Like a thousand times to get those sweet little black eyes to look through my magical lens. Cheese would not even sway him. Nay I say, cheese brought me no straight looks today. I think he should've been born in the olden days...with those olden days people who didn't like looking at the camera when photographed. Yep, he's Drake: The Olden Days Look Not Into The Lens Dog. Ruffff!

Favorite shot of the day.

Humble, TX Photographer: Jump Around

Jump around! Jump around! Jump up! Jump up! And get down! What a blast! I LOVE the shot where the VANS dominate the photo! Coolio!

One of my favorite portraits of all time.

Well, maybe it's this one. WOW.

Sweet 16

She slowly opened the door and there I stood jaw dropped and stunned with her beauty. It wasn't just the luxurious, shiny, princess-sleeved ebony jacket deliciously topped off with a most lavishly decadent bow that she was wearing. It wasn't even the hot pink elongated, grand, floor-sweeping, grand, flowing mermaid skirt that I was most captivated with. No, it was something much more. It was her grace and poise that captured my attention. It was her confidence in who she was, not what she was wearing that swept me off my feet. Oh Sweet 16's hair was beauty shop worthy -though she fixed it herself. Sweet 16's lip gloss was sparkling sweet. Sweet 16's eyes were beautifully pure. Sweet 16's skin was a radiant gleam. But through all of the outward beauty, I saw what was within. "Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised.Proverbs 31:31
